Founded by Jodi Lane — a convert to the Catholic Faith since 2013, parish social media manager since 2013, and formed for 15 years under the guidance of Fr. William C. Mooney.
Beyond the Pews began not merely as a business venture, but from a profound calling. My name is Jodi Lane, and at the heart of my work lies a singular mission: to help share the enduring beauty, strength, and truth of the Catholic faith in a world that is constantly evolving.
My Catholic faith journey formally began in 2010. For over two transformative years, I immersed myself in learning under the guidance of Father William C. Mooney, whose foundational lessons grounded me deeply in truth. My spiritual formation deepened further as I assisted Father Mooney for 13 subsequent years, cultivating a profound love and understanding of our faith through dedicated ministry and active parish life.
My practical digital outreach commenced in 2013 when I built my first website. I went on to manage social media for Corpus Christi Catholic Church until Father Mooney retired. I continued managing Fr. Mooney's personal and Education Facebook pages "Faith and Reason". I am currently creating and managing St. Ambrose Catholic Church Social Media content. Through these experiences, I witnessed firsthand the undeniable importance of digital communication; social media has become a vital mission field.
Father Mooney, my generous mentor, has since gone to God. His unwavering faithfulness and boundless love for the Church left an indelible mark, and I believe the profound insights he shared are meant to be shared widely. This deep conviction is the very reason I created Beyond the Pews.
